South London Christian College

In many years of teaching theology and counselling to church workers, leaders, ministers and pastors, we have come to realise more than ever the significance of the task we are involved in. Gone are the days when it was perfectly acceptable for a minister of the Gospel to simply quote one version or one interpretation of the Bible as a panacea for every challenge.

Today there is no excuse for not being adequately and broadly equipped, not only with a firm foundation in the Word, but also having a clear understanding of the history of the Church, context of the Scriptures, proper principles of biblical interpretation, refined skilled of sermon delivery, professional pastoral counselling skills, basic business organisational proficiencies and all the other aptitudes required for effective ministry in an increasingly complex world.

We have also discovered that the world is becoming an increasingly globalised 21st century village, where diverse cultures and world faiths are continually being thrown into one huge melting pot. Our assignment must therefore include total relevance to all different contexts such that each individual will hear the message of God and the principles of the Word at their own individual level of understanding.

South London Christian College has a lot to offer in terms of locality, training programmes and student life. We have a mandate to train Christian leaders for the 21st century to develop academic excellence, spiritual maturity and excellence of character within a Christ-centred community and the release them to bless and transform the world. Our assignment is to educate minds and inspire hearts.

Over the last 18 years, we have trained over 750 international and local students comprising of full-time, part-time, distance learning, undergraduate and postgraduate students. The college is very multi-cultural and this is reflected in the fact that, over the years, our students have come from some 45 different nations across the globe.

Additionally, we have established cooperative relationships with a number of academic institutions and training organisations to help us deliver a unique blend of quality academic programmes including theology, missions and counselling.

Do avail yourself of this opportunity to study with us whether on a full-time or part-time basis or as a distance learning student.
