Overseas Students
Obtaining your UK Visa
If you have completed your checklist you may now submit your visa application form - with visa fee in local currency - to the British High Commission or Embassy who will arrange a date for an interview. (Please note that you may be asked questions about the structure of the course and how it may benefit your career)
Students from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Ghana, Gambia and Jamaica are not eligible to travel directly to the UK without first obtaining a Visa at the local British High Commission.
Students with EU passports will not require a Visa to enter the UK.
Students from other countries may obtain a student Visa at the Airport or Seaport of entry by providing the following documents, but you are advised to check the current position with a British Embassy or Consulate before departure:
- A valid passport
- Final acceptance letter to confirm payment of tuition fees
- In the case of a sponsored student, a letter confirming sponsorship
- Evidence of financial support
- Academic documents
- Medical certificate
